Using Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 4.0

After you have installed the software:
    • Open Photoshop Elements
    • Choose File > Open (select the photo you would like to resize)
    • Choose Image > Resize > Image Size
    • The Image Size Dialog box will appear
    • Enter a new width or height (4" or 5" for smaller prints)**
    • If the photos will be e-mail change the resolution to 72, if you plan to print it
       keep the resolution between 100-200 dpi. The larger the resolution the larger
       the file size will be.
    • Click “OK”
    • Choose File > Save As
    • Save the resized image with a different distinctive name. DO NOT replace the        original image.

**Width and height work together. When one is changed, the other changes automatically to match. This is called “Constrain Proportions”. If you change one, the other will change automatically to match.
